The Giants are promoting first baseman Bryce Eldridge, the top prospect in their organization, from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento, a source confirmed to this news organization.
Eldridge, 20, is currently hitting .280/.350/.512 with seven home runs and 20 RBIs over 34 games for the Richmond Flying Squirrels. He missed the first several weeks of the season due to a left wrist injury but has an .895 OPS in May.
Eldridge’s promotion to Sacramento comes as the Giants are in the midst of a collective cold spell offensively, scoring only 30 runs over their last 15 games.
