While Virat Kohli might not have the trophy, he has created a legacy that would be hard to beat. He is the IPL’s top-scorer with 8661 runs, 8 centuries, 63 fifties, 771 boundaries and 291 sixes. He had everything except the trophy. Kohli already revealed that he had opportunities to leave the franchise for other teams. But he decided to stay loyal and not venture out as his heart and soul is always with Bengaluru.
“This win is right up there, I’ve stayed loyal to this team. I had moments otherwise, but I stayed with them and them with me. My heart is with Bengaluru, my soul is with Bengaluru. This is a high-intensity tournament, I want to win the big tournaments and moments. Tonight, I’ll sleep like a baby. I look for ways to improve, I want to field and make an impact there. God’s blessed me with perspective and talent. Just put my head down and worked as heart as I can,” Virat Kohli said.
RCB won 11 out of 16 matches in IPL 2025, including all away games. They became the first team to win all away matches.
