Gary Lineker has moved his popular podcast to streaming platform DAZN following his departure from the BBC.
The deal will see his ‘The Rest is Football’ show further bolstered by the inclusion of footage from the FIFA Club World Cup in what will be a video version of the show.

It comes after the podcast was removed from the BBC’s audio streaming system last week following Lineker’s exit from the corporation.
The former Match of the Day host left his role following a social media disagreement after he shared a post about Zionism.

Lineker subsequently apologised before announcing that alongside his previously announced Match of the Day exit, he would no longer host the BBC’s coverage of the 2026 World Cup or next season’s FA Cup.

Lineker and co will line up to provide their analysis of the revamped FIFA competition in which 32 teams will battle it out to be crowned World Champions.
Teams from each of the six international football confederations will be present at the Club World Cup.
Europe will be represented by 12 clubs which act as the highest quota of all the confederations with the places decided by Champions League performances over the past four seasons.

Meanwhile, other European teams have qualified via a UEFA ranking system based on clubs’ performances over the four seasons.
A maximum of two clubs per country can qualify meaning Liverpool missed out despite reaching the Champions League final in 2022.Both Asia and Africa were awarded four club places each as were the North and Central America federation.
South American clubs were handed six places and Oceania one.
Newly-crowned Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain have the opportunity to claim world dominance as they look to continue their incredible 2024/25 campaign.
The French giants face off against Atletico Madrid, Brazilian outfit Botafogo and MLS side Seattle Sounders in the group phase of the competition.
