AN ultra rare set of baseball cards worth around $3 million were found hidden in an attic.
Karl Kissner made the discovery while he was cleaning his grandfather’s attic in Defiance, Ohio.

One card in particular is up for auction on website Goldin for $2.7 million.
Honus Wagner played shortstop in the MLB.
He died in 1955 – but the legacy of his cards lived on.
Three years ago, Goldin announced that a T-206 Wagner card sold for $7.25 million.
That number passed the previous sports card record of $6.6 million, which was also a T-206 Wagner card the previous year.
The T-206 series of cards were made by the American Tobacco Company between 1909 and 1911.
Most of the cards were mass produced but Wagner’s was pulled early.
The uber-rarity of the card makes it a prized possession for collectors.
It is believed only around 50 or 60 copies of it were ever made.
Ken Goldin said in a statement, “There is nothing on this earth like a T-206 card.
“There’s a reason why no Wagner card has sold for less than it was previously purchased for.
“The card is art, it’s history, it’s folklore.”
The cards were found by Karl underneath a wooden dollhouse in the Ohio attic.
Karl and Karla initially put the cards aside to finish their clearing out job.
Karl then took a closer look at the collection a few weeks later.
He noticed that the cards looked small and was confused why they had limited information on them.
The memorabilia just contained the player’s name and no statistics.
But the cards were in excellent condition without any creases and bright colors.
Karl said the discovery helped bring his family together.
He smiled, “It started out with a walk down memory lane, and this is going to create nothing but new memories.”
