DENVER (KDVR) — The Colorado Rockies just can't seem to catch a break.
The 2025 Rockies team is going to find itself all over the MLB record book, but for none of the right reasons.
The Rockies set three unwanted records in Saturday's 2-8 loss against the New York Mets, but only one of them, maybe two, will make people bat an eye.
The first record set was for the worst 58-game start in MLB history, 9-49, although with each passing loss, the Rockies keep extending that record, so it is news, but almost feels like old news.

If you count before the beginning of the 2025 season and delve into last year, the Rockies have now failed to win in 22 consecutive series, a streak that began last September. That is also a major league record.
The team faces the Mets once more on Sunday, with a win able to bring them up to double-digit wins this season, but unfortunately, in terms of the series, a win would mean nothing.
One of the Rockies' best chances to win a series may come in the next one against the Miami Marlins. The Marlins are the bottom dwellers in the National League East Conference and have only won 23 games this season.
The three-game series begins on Monday in Florida.
