Stefon Diggs may be thrown overboard by the New England Patriots.
The All-Pro wideout signed a three-year contract worth $69million to give sophomore quarterback Drake Maye a shot at bringing the glory days back to Foxborough.

Incoming head coach Mike Vrabel is keen to instill discipline as a key part of a new era for the team and vowed to handle the matter internally.
“It’s something we’re aware of and obviously we want to make great decisions on and off the field,” he said.
“Any conversations that I’ve had with Stefon will remain between him and I and the club.”
Diggs has been a bit-part player during offseason workouts as he continues rehabilitation from a torn ACL that he sustained in Week 8 last season with the Houston Texans.
He was present for at least one of the Patriots’ voluntary practices last week, and shared a video of an unusual private workout — running drills while tethered to a street lamp.
Whether that is enough to convince Vrabel that the 31-year-old is serious about his future in New England remains to be seen.
Former Patriots quarterback Scott Zolak says that the team are actively considering getting rid of Diggs before he has played a down.
“I came to this show yesterday with the opinion — not opinion, but the knowledge that it is on the table,” Zolak told 98.5 The Sports Hub.
Diggs is expected to miss the first few weeks of the seasonGetty Vrabel is keen to build a new cultureGetty“That it is being thought of. And it’s not just the boat. It’s not just the boat. There are some other things that I’ve heard that put some things in question, ‘Are you all-in here?’
“The videos look great of him working out. I’ve touted the videos. I know you need diva receivers. I say he shouldn’t be cut, because I think he would help Drake Maye and this offense and Josh McDaniels, because you would have a true viable guy that would set coverage. Right now, you still don’t have a guy who sets coverage. I’m sorry.”
Diggs is a 10-year veteran with four Pro-Bowls who helped transform Josh Allen‘s Buffalo Bills into contenders before heading to Houston.
If healthy and committed, he is a huge upgrade to a poor receiver room, which also features DeMario Douglas, Kendrick Bourne, Mack Hollins, Kayshon Boutte, Ja’Lynn Polk, and Javon Baker.
But Vrabel was hired due to his ability to instill a culture and Diggs’ very public antics do not gel with the coach’s vision.
Sports Illustrated insider Albert Breer thinks the mystery substance is unlikely to result in any action from the NFL, which has not commented on the matter.

“It’s going to be hard… the league is going to look into this, and they’re going to hit a dead end because they’re not going to be able to prove what was in the bag,” he told 98.5 The Sports Hub.
“So then it’s up to the team to make a decision. And if the team wants to recoup any of the guaranteed money, they have to cut him right away.
“My guess would be that the reason he wasn’t at practice the other day might be because Mike told him to stay away and maybe they’re sorting through everything now.”
Diggs did not attend voluntary practice on Wednesday and will now hold talks with Vrabel.
“It’s just how credible whatever Stefon Diggs says to him is,” Breer added.
“If [Diggs] comes in and gives you a believable story and then falls on the sword and goes in front of the team and apologizes for putting everybody in this position when they have to answer questions for him, then fine.”
Vrabel is one thing, but Diggs could have an even tougher conversation with rap star girlfriend Cardi B, who was also on the boat.
“Girls will throw themselves on him all the time, but she wishes he wouldn’t be a scumbag and flirt back,” an insider told the Daily Mail.
“Cardi has had her fair share of relationship issues, and she doesn’t want it to continue with Stefon.
“And now that the video went viral, she is really frustrated with him that he would allow that to happen.
“He should know better, the fact that he didn’t realize what was going on around him is embarrassing and she is mad at him.”
