'Yellowstone' Actor's Company Sued Over Unpaid Costume Fees ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

On Wednesday, May 28, United Costume Corporation filed in Los Angeles Superior Court a breach of contract lawsuit against Horizon Series, Costner's company under which the Horizon film series is produced.

United Costume’s lawsuit points to two bills that remain unpaid and are accruing interest. One in 2022 for roughly $58,000 in costume rentals for Chapter 1, and another a year later for an estimated $285,000 for the sequel, according to the complaint.

Unfortunately, this is isn't the only lawsuit filed against the production. On Tuesday, May 27, a stunt performer for Chapter 2sued the production for sexual discrimination, harassment and retaliation, among other things, over an unscripted rape scene that was filmed without the presence of a contractually required intimacy coordinator.

Chapter 2 was originally set to be released in August 2024, but due to the box-office disappointment of Chapter 1, it was announced that its release date had been indefinitely delayed until further notice.

At the 2024 Venice Film Festival, Costner told reporters, "I don't know how I'm gonna make [Chapter 3] right now, but I'm gonna make it."

Costner is believed to be looking for financiers to finish shooting the films. Under his deal with a group of investors, he deferred his fees, mortgaged his Santa Barbara waterfront property and put at least $38 million of his own money toward the venture, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
