The group was known for its vocal harmonies, but each member got a chance to shine. For Al Jardine, he sang lead on one of the Beach Boys' biggest hits, "Help Me, Rhonda," as well as "Then I Kissed Her," and "Cottonfields."
The collection is Jardine's first new solo project since 2010's A Postcard From California. The title track features Al's son, Matt Jardine, and guest vocals from Beach Boy Bruce Johnson.
The collection also features a previously unreleased duet with Neil Young called "My Plane Leaves Tomorrow (Au Revoir)." The song details the conflict of sending troops off to fight in foreign wars and features Flea performing the military bugle call "Taps."
