On Air Today: The CORA Food Pantry, Expanding Service Amid Funding Cuts ...Middle East

News by : (chapelboro) -

Aaron welcomes Melissa Driver Beard and Rebecca Hankins of Chatham County’s CORA Food Pantry, which serves thousands of individuals each year – a number that’s rapidly increasing as Chatham County’s population grows and the need for food rises. They’re planning to expand with a new pantry in Siler City, to continue meeting that growing need – but they’re doing it at a time of severe economic strain, as federal funding cuts are having a major negative impact on food-service programs nationwide.

Visit CORAFoodPantry.org for more information on their efforts and how you can help.
