Turkiye’s Fidan: Both Russia and Ukraine now eye ceasefire ...Iraq

While traveling to Kyiv by train,Fidan described the atmosphere surrounding the conflict as increasinglyconstructive. “I see the situation taking a more optimistic turn with the startof negotiations. Both sides want a ceasefire. No one is rejecting the idea,” heremarked to Anadolu Agency.

Russia has also proposed holdinga second round of direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on June 2. The firstround took place in the same city on May 16.

Moreover, Foreign Ministryspokesperson Maria Zakharova confirmed to Russian media that the upcomingdelegation will remain unchanged, comprising a presidential adviser, a seniordiplomat, and senior officials from the military and intelligence services.
