And just like that, Carrie Bradshaw is all moved into the palatial Gramercy Park apartment that she planned to live in with Aidan Shaw.
Season 3 of And Just Like That, which premieres via Max on Thursday, May 29, sees Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) officially relocating her new abode. As fans remember, Carrie sold her now-iconic Upper East Side brownstone last season after Aidan (John Corbett) wouldn’t step foot in it because of their messy history. (The residence is famously filmed at a real-life location in the West Village.)
Carrie and Aidan planned to live their next chapter in the exclusive Gramercy neighborhood before he left town to be home with his sons in Virginia. He promised to return in five years after his three kids left the nest for college.
Carrie, meanwhile, kept the new pad, which is located in a 1840s Greek Revival co-op building at 3 Gramercy Park in Manhattan.
All the Ways Real Estate Becomes an Unexpected Star of ‘And Just Like That’
Since viewers can’t get enough of the stunning real estate portfolio on the Sex and the City spinoff, Us did a little investigating to find out just how much Carrie spent on her new place.
Carrie’s townhouse was snapped up in real life in 2022 for a whopping $5 million price tag. Other units in the building have sold at similar price points, while a studio apartment on a lower level is currently under contract for $900,000.
This isn’t the first time Carrie has left an old pad behind. When AJLT premiered, Carrie lived with Mr. Big (Chris Noth) in a separate penthouse in a building located on Fifth Avenue. She listed the property after her husband’s sudden death.
“One of the interesting things that Michael [Patrick King, the showrunner] brought to us was that Carrie has kept her old apartment the way she always has, as her work sanctum, where she goes to write and whatnot,” production designer Miguel López-Castillo previously told Apartment Therapy in 2021. “There is more of a feeling that she gets to do things there that she would not have in the apartment with Big, reflecting her travels, a different color sensibility, more her personality, whereas the apartment with Big had been decorated … very much with him in mind.”

Carrie opted to return to her old studio, but by the end of season 2, she wanted a change of scenery to start a life with Aidan.
“I’ve had an epiphany! I’m ready to sell it and move on — for real this time,” she told pal and real estate agent Seema Patel (Sarita Choudhury) in an August 2023 episode. “But, it has to be somewhere truly special. You know, something worth giving up my jewel box [for].”
The multi-story Gramercy address was evidently just the jewel box that Carrie was searching for.
