Hozier’s “Work Song” rides its synch in ABC’s 9-1-1 to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top TV Songs chart, powered by Tunefind (a Songtradr company), for April.

Rankings for the Top TV Songs chart are based on song and show data provided by Tunefind and ranked using a formula blending that data with sales and streaming information tracked by Luminate during the corresponding period of April.

“Work Song,” originally released on Hozier’s 2014 debut self-titled album, reigns thanks to 18.5 million official on-demand U.S. streams earned and 2,000 downloads sold in April 2025, according to Luminate.

The song, which peaked at No. 19 on Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart a decade earlier in 2015, was heard in the April 17 episode of 9-1-1, which aired its eighth season finale in May and was renewed for a ninth season in April.

9-1-1 boasts two appearances on the April Top TV Songs in all; Radiohead’s “High and Dry,” heard in the same episode as “Work Song,” appears at No. 7 via 3.7 million streams.

Netflix’s You occupies four of the 10 spots with music from its fifth and final season, all of which premiered on April 24. Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” leads the pack at No. 2 (13.3 million streams, 1,000 downloads), followed by Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” (No. 3; 8.6 million streams, 1,000 downloads), Taylor Swift’s “Guilty As Sin?” (No. 8; 8.7 million streams) and Mitski’s “Washing Machine Heart” (No. 10; 9.8 million streams).
