When the 2025 Greeley Stampede starts Wednesday, June 25, the Stampede Western Art Show will kick off its 25th year.
Guests can get a first look at the art show with an opening reception from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Island Grove Event Center, 421 N. 15th Ave. The reception will include a silent and live auction, adult beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Free parking will be located on the west side of the event center.
Sierra Southerland, Miss Rodeo Colorado, is scheduled to be at the reception. She will assist with the 6 p.m. live auction. All the artwork for the auction was donated by the artists. A silent auction takes place at the same time, too.
Stan Aschenbrenner, a Greeley West High School graduate, will lead his Native American youth dance troupe at the reception. Aschenbrenner and his troupe will dress in full regalia as they dance through the art exhibit to lead the audience to the reception area for the auction. They will also dance their individual dances later on.
This year’s show will run from 4-9 p.m. weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends, inside the Island Grove Event Center. Admission is free with gate admission, concert or rodeo tickets. A youth art show will also be a part of the festivities.
All art is for sale throughout the art show. The Stampede and the art show end Sunday, July 6.
A committee of local community leaders and patrons of the arts created the art show to generate funds for scholarships awarded to college-bound high school seniors through the Stampede Foundation.
Tickets for the reception are $31. To purchase tickets, go to officialgreeleystampedetickets.evenue.net.
