The IPL 2025 league stages are over and it only becomes important to look at some of the best players of the tournament, albeit from the teams who have not qualified from the playoffs. In fact, it would be interesting to make a combined playing XI from the teams, that have not progressed. That includes teams like — RR, KKR, DC, SRH, LSG and CSK.
Yashasvi Jaiswal & Sunil Narine as Openers
Impact-wise, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sunil Narine have created the most impact for RR and KKR. The India opener went on to scored 559 runs from 14 matches, and his impact/match has been 40.5. ON the other hand, Narine has been economical, picked up wickets and scored runs too — total value for money player. He ended the tournament with 246 runs in 12 matches, and 12 wickets as well.
Nicholas Pooran & KL Rahul Make No. 3 & 4
Nicky P had an excellent first half of the IPL, but then failures were quite overpowering. But still, he managed to score 524 runs in 14 matches, with five fifties and an average of 43. His impact per match was 39.8. Coming to Rahul, he found a great home at DC, and performed well for them. He scored 539 runs including a ton, and averaged 53.90.
Heinrich Klaasen as Keeper
In 14 matches, he has gone on to score 487 runs, including a ton. Overall, an average of 44 was stunning, but the South African came to the party quite late this year. He had a strike-rate of 172. He also had a fifty to his name.
Dewald Brevis and Ravindra Jadeja Lower Down the Order
Drafted in the second half of the tournament, Brevis went on to play 6 encounters and scored 225 runs. He had a strike-rate of 180 and at an average of 37. ON the other hand, Jadeja had one of his best seasons as a batter, scored over 300 runs, and even picked up 10 wickets to go with that. He pips Vipraj Nigam too.
Vaibhav Arora, Jaydev Unadkat & Harshal Patel Make Pace List
Vaibhav, Unadkat and Harshal returned with 17, 11, and 16 wickets, respectively. They aren’t really the superstars of their teams, but just about do the job, by either picking wickets, or curtailing runs.
Riyan Parag Plugs in Gap, Becomes Captain Too
Although his record as RR skipper wasn’t spectacular, but the player, just individually, performed decently with the bat, and curtailed runs as well. He had an economy of 8.50 and then went on to score 393 runs in 14 matches. So, that seals the deal.
Combined XI of IPL 2025: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sunil Narine, Nicholas Pooran, KL Rahul, Heinrich Klaasen, Dewald Brevis, Ravindra Jadeja, Vaibhav Arora, Jaydev Unadkat, Harshal Patel, Riyan Parag (C).
