A new Whole Foods Market is coming to Denver’s Central Park neighborhood ...Middle East

News by : (The Denver Post) -

A vacant lot in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood is set to be transformed into a new shopping center, anchored by popular grocer Whole Foods Market.

Recent plans submitted to the city by local architectural firm The Mulhern Group show the development at 3979 Central Park Blvd. will include a 35,500-square-foot Whole Foods, an 11,800-square-foot district park, 373 parking spaces and three one-story shops.

Records show that two of the shops will be around 7,800 square feet each and the third will be about 7,200 square feet, with options for retail or restaurant use.

A Whole Foods Market representative confirmed to The Post that the store will be opening in the area, adding that they “look forward to serving the Central Park neighborhood with high-quality natural and organic products and an unparalleled grocery shopping experience.”

At this time, they said there is no confirmed opening date for the Central Park store, as opening timelines can be a moving target because of factors like construction, permits and stocking shelves.

Marketing materials from David Hicks & Lampert Brokerage show development on the site is expected to be completed by the second quarter of next year.

Nearby, Sprouts Farmers Market opened a 23,000-square-foot store at 405 S. Chambers Rd. on Apr. 18. Meanwhile, Trader Joe’s is scheduled to open a new location in Westminster later this year and WinCo Foods will soon build a store in Thornton.

The Whole Foods shopping center will be just a short distance between Quebec Square and The Shops at Northfield. It will also be next to the Credit Union of Colorado, near the Cracker Barrel Old Country Store and a QuikTrip gas station.
