— Baseball America (@BaseballAmerica) May 26, 2025After reaching the College World Series Finals in 2024, the Aggies were expected to reload in 2025. The injury bug, however, wreaked havoc in Michael Earley’s first season.
Outfielder Caden Sorrell, a 2024 Freshman All-SEC selection, missed time with a hamstring injury. Gavin Grahovac played only 6 games before he was lost for the remainder of the year due to a shoulder injury. Hayden Schott was limited by his meniscus.
Fighting for an NCAA Tournament berth, star Texas A&M outfielder Jace LaViolette broke his hand after being hit by a pitch. He played through the injury in the next game, the Aggies’ last of the SEC Tournament.
It was a rollercoaster season for A&M. The Aggies picked up series wins over Tennessee, South Carolina and Arkansas in April before being swept at Texas. In May, Texas A&M bounced back with a series win over LSU but went 1-5 in the final 6 SEC contests against Mizzou and Georgia to finish 11-19 in SEC play.
