Area police, firefighters, EMTs and other first responders will duke it out for a good cause at the “Battle of the Badges” arm wrestling tournament June 1 in Greeley.
The event starts at 1 p.m., at Colorado Cornhole Connection, 2403 4th Ave., according to a Greeley Police Department Facebook Post. Admission is free, but donations are welcome and the departments said all proceeds will benefit Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy — a nonprofit focused on helping child victims of abuse.
“Come cheer on your local heroes, enjoy some friendly competition and help support a great cause,” the department wrote in the Facebook post. “Bring your friends, your family and your game face — it’s going to be a blast.
Arm wrestlers Julian Smith and Cire Brown will serve as special guest referees, the department said.
Along with watching the competition, those in attendance can compete in a cornhole challenge, enter a community raffle and check out food trucks.
