FURIOUS shoppers haves slammed Target and vowed to boycott the store after an employee revealed a dark truth about self-checkout tills.
The revelation came amid piling controversy surrounding checkout tills across grocery stores in America.

They said: “There’s no reason to shop at @Target anymore.
“They won’t hire people to check people out.”
The punter went on to complain of their terrible experience.
“There were 3 people checking with lines & self checkout was 10-15 people waiting,” they raged.
“A dude in a wheel chair rolled up and didn’t call anyone to help.”
The shopper then said they left in dramatic fashion after being left angered by the whole system.
They said: “I left my full cart and walked out.”
Another shopper revealed the astonishing reason many stores have recently decided to close self checkout systems.
The customer revealed that an employee had told them the shocking reason why there were less of the high-tech tills in Targets across the US.
They also told how Target first try to play off the decrease in self-checkout tills as “an attempt at more human interaction”.
The punter said: “Our local Target closed the self checkout about a year ago.
“When they first did it, they tried to pass it off as an attempt at more human interaction.
The shopper made the bombshell revelation: “Then one day a very frustrated and honest employee told me it was because of stealing.
They complained: “I preferred self checkout because they never have enough cashiers.
“Now I do the drive up orders from time to time because they’re so close to our house.”
The doubtful customer said: “I would never go out of my way to shop at Target nowadays.”
The outrage comes after popular retailer revealed a plan to roll out self checkouts to more than 100 stores.
Homeware experts Dunelm planned to unveil the new till systems in more than half of its UK stores by the end of 2026.
And it comes after major changes to self-checkout were underway as a lawmaker in a key state pushed for regulations on the machines.
The bill in Washington state would change rules for when and how the self serve kiosks can be used in grocery stores.
