Haliburton hit what he thought was a game-winning three at the end of regulation and pulled the classic Miller choke sign, which he did during the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals.
The replay showed that Haliburton’s foot was on the line, however, and the shot sent the game to overtime.
But Miller, who was covering the game on TNT, was seen grinning as he pointed to Haliburton and put his hand over his mouth.
The sequence that showed Miller was revealed after the Pacers’ eventual overtime win at the end of the TNT broadcast.
NBA fans reacted to Miller’s grin on social media.
“Pretty wild for him to do that,” one wrote.
“Reggie wilding,” another said.
“We all have to channel our inner Reggie Miller sometimes,” a third added.
Haliburton spoke about his interaction with Miller after the game.
“Yeah, after I finished my postgame interview, we locked eyes and had a little moment,” he said.
“I didn’t want to go over there because it is pretty hectic over there.
“But we communicate pretty often, so it was definitely a special moment.
“Really cool, he was in the building for that.”
The Knicks blew a 14-point lead with less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter.

As for the 2024-25 Pacers, they mounted Wednesday’s comeback thanks to Aaron Nesmith’s six three-pointers in the fourth quarter.
Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby also missed a free throw each.
And overall, the Knicks turned the ball over 15 times compared to the Pacers’ seven.
The Knicks will hope to rebound against the Pacers for what should be another epic Game 2 on Friday night.
