Northridge, Windsor, Resurrection Christian place in top 5 of team standings of girls golf state tournaments ...Saudi Arabia

In addition to Northridge capping one of the most successful campaigns in program history with a fourth-place team finish, numerous other local participants made some noise in the Class 2A-4A girls golf state championships Monday and Tuesday.

Windsor senior Macy Kleve capped her excellent career by placing third (9-over-par 153) out of 84 participants in the 4A state tournament at the Broadlands Golf Course in Broomfield. She was just two strokes out of first place. Air Academy freshman Landry Frost was the individual medalist, shooting a 151.

The Wizards (532) placed fourth in the team standings. In addition to Kleve, senior Abbie Winterbottom (191, 31st), sophomore McKenna Hersh (198, 42nd) and junior Ruth Stephens (206, 55th) represented Windsor.

Riverdale Ridge topped the team standings, shooting a 68-over-par 500.

Resurrection Christian (540) was fourth in the 2A tournament at the Pueblo Country Club. Colorado Academy topped the team standings with a 75-over-par 507.

Juniors Avery Stockslager and Karina Garcia each shot a 175 to tie for 11th overall and lead the Cougars. Senior Brooke May (190, 23rd) and sophomore Brooklyn Dieperslot (248, 78th) also suited up for Resurrection Christian.

Colorado Academy freshman Sophia Lee topped the 2A leaderboard, shooting a 2-over-par 146.

Aforementioned Northridge shot  a 96-over-par 528 to place fourth in the standings of the 3A tournament at Boomerang Links.

The Grizzlies received balanced contributions from junior Grace Gerbers (174, 18th), senior Emmarie Miles (176, 19th), junior Madison Nation (184, 28th) and junior Jade Hepler (186, 29th).

Severance tied for seventh (561) in the 3A tournament. Senior Katelyn Johnson (173, 17th), senior Reagan Mendoza (193, 34th), sophomore Jaycee Runner (199, 38th) and senior Sophie Morgan (205, 47th) represented the Silver Knights.

Roosevelt senior Grace Sterkel placed 62nd (217) in the 3A tournament. Holy Family (476) won the team title. Timnath sophomore Cheyanne Schrick was the individual medalist, shooting a 6-over-par 150.
