THE NFL has made a controversial decision about the Tush Push.
Team owners took a vote on the play at the league meetings in Eagan, Minnesota.

The Philadelphia Eagles have been the main exploiters of the play.
They seemingly picked up a yard or two without fail every time they ran it.
Other teams were not as successful on the Tush Push.
But the move to have it banned was denied on Wednesday in a vote.
The Eagles sent franchise icon and former center Jason Kelce to Minnesota in a last-ditch move.
Kelce said on New Heights, “It feels like this is the most legitimate chance they’ve had since voting to get it banned.
“There were some things said at the last owners meeting.
“Some of the owners and coaches hinted the reason I stopped playing was because of the tush push.
“And that I got hurt on the tush push, frequently.”
Kelce added, “I’m going to answer any questions people have on my partaking in this play.
“I don’t care if it gets banned or not.
“If you ban the Tush Push, the Eagles are still going to run quarterback sneak at a very high percentage.
“I’ll come out of retirement today if you told me all I had to do is run 80 Tush Pushes to play in the NFL.
“It will be the easiest job in the world and I’d play 80 some snaps.”

Any change needs at least 24 of the 32 NFL teams vote to approve it.
The Green Bay Packers were one of the leading teams calling for the play to be banned.
Philadelphia has used the play as a weapon that helped them all the way to the Super Bowl title in 2024.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts lined up for the play on almost every short-yardage third down.
Hurts had 23 touchdowns in 2024 including five in the playoffs.
