7 Best All-Inclusive Resorts in the Bahamas, According to a Travel Expert ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

With more than 20 all-inclusive stays under my belt (and three more planned this year alone) in 9 countries, I’ve become a bit of an expert on round-the-clock resort living, from sunrise mimosas and Instagram-worthy breakfast spreads to poolside cocktails that aren’t watered down and dinners that justify the expensive new dresses I bought for the trip. As a travel writer who’s explored over 70 countries, written for major publications and magazines, and been featured on travel shows, I’ve learned exactly what sets a great resort apart, and what makes it worth booking to begin with.

These are the seven best all-inclusive resorts in the Bahamas, ranging from sprawling five-star resorts on private beaches to more budget-friendly options that still offer all the amenities.

Sandals Royal Bahamian, Nassau

Sandals

This adults-only resort is the definition of luxury-meets-laid-back. With two massive pools, ten restaurants, and a private offshore island reserved just for guests, Sandals Royal Bahamian is the ultimate honeymoon escape. A recent 55 million dollar renovation has added modern beach-chic suites and butler service that handles everything for you (including expedited room service, shoe shines and luggage unpacking).

While the entirety of Atlantis isn’t a traditional all-inclusive, it does offer all-inclusive packages and meal plans to take the stress out of your stay. Enjoy the recently renovated The Royal for updated rooms, iconic waterslides, the Royal Baths, and the Dig aquarium, which is home to over 250 species of fish, manta rays and more. For more of a splurge, stay at The Cove, which is flanked by two beaches and offers a more elevated experience, complete with private cabana rentals, an exclusive lounge and even butler service.

Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan, Grand Bahama Island

One of the few all-inclusive resorts on Grand Bahama Island, Lighthouse Point is true understated luxury at a fantastic value. Set on a pristine stretch of beach, the resort offers unlimited dining, drinks and non-motorized water sports, like windsurfing and snorkeling. Although it’s an added fee, the beachside horseback riding is about as romantic as it gets, and truly gives you an entirely different perspective on the surrounding nature.

Small Hope Bay Lodge, Andros Island

Don’t let the label eco-lodge scare you away, Small Hope Bay is anything but basic. Family-run since the 1960s, this boutique all-inclusive offers a rare blend of rustic charm and barefoot luxury, with just 21 beachfront cabins. Due to the size, the stay feels incredibly authentic, with fresh, locally sourced meals, open bars without a line, guided snorkeling and diving and no crowds in sight.

Get an up-close view of the astonishing Andros Island reef system with scuba diving and snorkeling just steps from the lodge. Even though it’s not for everyone, many past guests rave about the community-style dining and how you can truly soak up the digital detox experience, thanks to the lack of TVs and phones.

Club Med Columbus, San Salvador Island

If you’d prefer an adults-only vibe, Club Med Columbus is one of our favorites in the Caribbean. Located on a remote island known for its untouched beauty, this resort focuses heavily on wellness, fitness and water sports, so it’s the ultimate oasis for travelers who want to stay active by day and unwind by night with all-inclusive cocktails and international cuisine.

Viva Fortuna Beach by Wyndham, Grand Bahama Island

One of just two all-inclusives on the island, Viva Fortuna Beach is a solid pick for families or groups with a tighter budget. This all-inclusive resort includes meals, drinks, daily activities, and even trapeze lessons for less than $150 a day per person. Nature lovers flock here because of the location to the island’s famed 40-acre Lucayan National Park, home to one of the world’s largest underwater cave systems.

Kamalame Cay, Andros Island

While not a traditional all-inclusive like the others on the list, Kamalame Cay offers full-board packages that include gourmet meals and personalized service on a private island. This barefoot-luxe hideaway is perfect for honeymooners or anyone seeking peace, privacy and high-end indulgence. The resort also boasts the Bahamas' only overwater spa, which offers everything from post-sun treatments to deep-tissue massages and ocean crystal facials. If you’d prefer to be in the water, try out the resort-led scuba dives or fishing and ocean expeditions. If romance is more your vibe, enjoy a sunset beach picnic on the Cay.
