KANSAS City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will have a massive Travis Kelce decision to make for the upcoming season.
Kelce is coming off a career-worst season and contemplated retirement following the Chiefs’ Super Bowl 59 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

He caught just four passes for 39 yards in the Chiefs’ defeat to the Eagles at the Super Bowl in February.
The game ended the Chiefs’ chance of a historic three-peat.
Kelce had a poor year by his standards, as his stats and performance were less than stellar.
While Kelce has decided to play one more year, head coach Reid will have to decide whether he wants to bench the 10-time Pro Bowler, should his nothing-to-write-home-about showings continue.
Kelce is the standout at the tight end position, but Reid could also look to Noah Gray.
The 26-year-old Gray recorded 40 receptions for 437 yards and five touchdowns – all career-highs.
Rookie Jake Briningstool, Jared Wiley, Tre Watson, and veteran Robert Tonyan are all fighting for roster spots.
The most notable tight end is Tonyan, who’s played seven years in the NFL.
He spent five years with the Green Bay Packers and recorded 1,437 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Wiley appeared in seven games with Kansas City last year and only recorded one reception for seven yards.
A tight end to watch is the rookie out of Clemson, Briningstool, who was undrafted.
Briningstool could’ve signed with other teams, but he chose the Chiefs thanks to the three-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Reid.
“That was pretty unique to hear, which kind of really stood out to me, just showing how much they valued me, how much they cared,” Briningstool said.
“So I think that’s really what stuck out about here.”

Briningstool will first have to make the roster, but he will hope to learn plenty from Kelce.
“Yeah, I mean, obviously, you know what Travis has been able to do. I think it’s very appealing to somebody that plays tight end,” Briningstool said.
“I think just being able to come in here and learn from him, learn from the other guys that really play at a high level, and just be able to, come in here and use my skill set and, see how I can make an impact.”
Briningstool made an impression at the Chiefs’ rookie minicamp, and he, along with the other team’s tight ends, will look to take playing time away from Kelce in 2025.
