SRH coach Daniel Vettori revealed on Sunday, that Aussie opener Travis Head had contracted Covid-19, thus delaying his return to IPL 2025. That only means, that the southpaw will miss Hyderabad’s 12th clash vs Lucknow Super Giants on Monday. While addressing the media, the coach confirmed, “Travis is coming in tomorrow morning.
Travis Head Contracts Covid-19
“He was delayed. He actually had COVID, so he couldn’t travel. He’ll get in tomorrow morning and we’ll assess how he is after that.” Meanwhile, SRH is already out of this year’s IPL, and are in eighth position, having won only three matches in 11 outings. Head, in those matches, has had mediocre returns — scoring only 281 runs at an average of 28, including two fifties.
Yet to Reach India for IPL 2025
That could leave SRH in a bit of a bother for the next game, and might have to get Ishan Kishan to open the innings along with Abhishek Sharma. Having said that, it has been over two weeks, since the team played a full match. Their last clash on May 5 was a washed out contest against DC, and post that, the league was halted for a few days, due to military escalation between India and Pakistan.
