The NFL schedule for the 2025 season was unveiled this week.

It showed the Kansas City Chiefs have more prime time games than any team with seven.

Kansas City’s brutal schedule sees them start the season with a prime time game in Brazil.

They will also play on both Thanksgiving and Christmas, just like the Cowboys.

Kansas City and Dallas are the league’s two ratings powerhouses.

Dallas’ fan base has been in tact for years and earned them the name “America’s Team.”

But the Chiefs have helped deliver huge ratings in recent years thanks to Mahomes, Kelce and the latter’s relationship with Taylor Swift.

And NFL vice president of broadcast operations Mike North made a bold claim.

“The Chiefs have almost kind of surpassed the Cowboys as the bell cow,” he said.

“This is what happens when your pop culture is part of the fabric of the country right now.

“And this is par for the course for the Chiefs.”

The Chiefs will play their first Thanksgiving game since 2006 this year.

They will visit the Dallas Cowboys in a game that could shatter television records.

Dallas’ game against the New York Giants on Thanksgiving in 2022 averaged 42.1 million.

It is the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history.

And that late-afternoon holiday showdown is in addition to the seven prime time games Kansas City has.

North added, “I think if anybody’s paid attention, that’s sort of what the Kansas City Chiefs schedule is these days.

“What have they won, three of the last six Super Bowls.

“That puts you into a non-routine scheduling formula.

“Sundays at noon are rare.

“There are actually four or five of them this year which is probably more then they’re probably used to.

“I don’t think the Chiefs fans are surprised.”
