“That’s what guaranteed money does to you Brooks,” they shouted as Koepka walked to the next tee box with playing partners Rickie Fowler and Shane Lowry.
“You want to come down here and say it?” Koepka spikily asked, before repeating the statement.
It did the trick and was met with silence and the golfer walked off, appearing to mutter ‘tough guy now, huh?’
Fans were unusually in agreement on social media as they backed Koepka.
“Hecklers are annoying but it’s satisfying to see them get what they deserve,” one wrote on X.
“Love to see Brooks KO him,” added another.
“That dude backed down,” a third posted.
“Must be brutal to have people insult how rich you are,” joked a fourth.

“Every chance you get to lead a major and play with the lead is never easy, so I feel proud of a solid round,” he said.
“Even though it’s never easy to give two shots away right at the end, there’s a lot of golf left, so you’ve got to keep remembering the good stuff.”
Masters champion McIlroy will not be completing an annual clean sweep after barely making the cut.
He was forced to ditch his usual driver after the United States Golf Association found it to be non-conforming.
