Dave Allen has felt the power of boxing’s biggest punchers.
The British boxer has shared rounds with the likes of Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury, Oleksandr Usyk and Wladimir Klitschko during a prolific run as a sparring partner for the heavyweight elite, while he’s also boxed Dillian Whyte and Luis Ortiz in the paid ranks.

“I think for one punch power… Derek Chisora,” Allen told talkSPORT.com ahead of his rematch with Johnny Fisher on Saturday night.
“Obviously, I don’t think he was the best, but in terms of one-punch power and brute force, it is him.
“His right hand was very heavy. Not the quickest and not much disguise to it.
“I could see it coming, and I could brace for it, but I felt it, that is for sure…
“He’s a different kind of puncher to someone like Anthony Joshua.
“Joshua is a lot faster and crisper. Chisora is more concussive.
“Joshua caused me more problems in sparring, but in terms of raw power, it is Chisora.”
Chisora isn’t alone in his assessment of Chisora’s power.
Unified heavyweight champion Usyk, who knocked Allen out on his feet during a brutal sparring session in Ukraine, also picked Chisora as the hardest hitter he has shared the ring with.

“Biggest punch – no. Because Derek Chisora is a very tough guy.
“[One punch landed] on the gloves and I said, ‘Oh my God.’ Like a baseball bat.”
While Allen has sparred almost every single big-name heavyweight from his era, Chisora has fought them all.
During a long and punishing 49-fight career (36-13) stretching back to 2007, ‘Del Boy’ has boxed Vitali Klitschko, David Haye, Joseph Parker (twice), Usyk, Joe Joyce, Agit Kabayel, Whyte and Fury (thrice).
The former British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight champion is due to box once more before retiring.
At present, he is the IBF mandatory for Daniel Dubois and is expected to sit out and wait for his opportunity at the belt.
