“I definitely want to have kids one day,” Thompson exclusively tells Parade while discussing her upcoming TLC biopic, I Was Honey Boo Boo. “I don't want to have many. I want to have, like, two — that's max. But I definitely think if I have a little girl, she would definitely be in pageants. I've always thought about putting my little girl in pageants.”

“Obviously, if she's at an age [when] she's like, ‘Mom, I don't want to do it,’ [then I'll say], ‘Okay, we don't have to do it.’ I'm not going to force my kids to do anything they don't want to do,” she says. “But, I mean, I think it'd be so cute to have a little mini Honey Boo Boo on stage. I think it'd be really cute.”
When asked if her experience with her mom and pageants left her scarred, Thompson replies, “It definitely has a little bit.”

“I think I would be the exact opposite of my mother,” Thompson adds. “I think everything she put me through was definitely more like an inspiration of, like, I never want to be like that, and I never want to be that type of mother. I think I'll be very loving and nurturing and caring, for sure, and I'll make sure to always be there for my kids regardless.”
