Woman killed after vehicle crashes into palm tree in Chula Vista ...Middle East

A woman was killed Wednesday afternoon after her vehicle crashed into a palm tree in Chula Vista.

The Chula Vista Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a single-vehicle collision at approximately 1:39 p.m. near the 200 block of Sea Vale Street, authorities said.

Emergency responders from the Chula Vista Police and Fire Departments arrived to find the woman severely injured. Firefighters performed life-saving measures before transporting her to UCSD Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead.

Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Sea Vale Street when it veered off the road and struck a palm tree. Authorities said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash. The cause remains under investigation.

The woman’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
