3 shot in Aurora parking lot, police investigating ...Middle East

DENVER (KDVR) — Three people were shot in a parking lot on Havana Street in Aurora on Wednesday night, police reported.

The shooting was reported at about 8:36 p.m., according to the Aurora Police Department, in the 1100 block of South Havana Street. The parking lot is at the corner of East Mississippi Avenue and South Havana Street and is home to a King Soopers, Baskin-Robbins, Chipotle and Wingstop.

The department said that two male victims were contacted on scene and a female victim was driven to the hospital. Everyone has "serious or life-threatening injuries," the department said, and their ages are unknown.

FOX31's Alliyah Sims arrived on scene shortly after FOX31 was alerted to the triple-shooting and found police had taped off an entrance to the King Soopers as well as a large portion of the parking lot. She counted nearly a dozen patrol cars on scene.

Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and are asking anyone with information to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or metrodenvercrimestoppers.com.

FOX31 has a crew at the scene to learn more about the extent of the victim's injuries, what their ages are, if there are suspects in custody or known to police, and other pertinent information. As more information is gathered, this story will be updated.
