CHARLOTTE (PINPOINT WEATHER) -- Good Wednesday morning! We have made it halfway through the week, not without a lot of rain and thunderstorms, though.
Warm and humid Wednesday morning, with temperatures in the 60s. High temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon.

We have a few showers to deal with Wednesday morning, which may lead to a wet commute for some. Low clouds and patchy fog also lead to a gloomy start. Expect a mixture of sun and clouds for the afternoon, with scattered showers and storms developing later Wednesday.
Gusty winds and hail would be the main concerns with any isolated stronger storms that develop. Can't rule out any nuisance high water issues for poor drainage areas. A few more stray showers and storms are possible overnight into Thursday morning.
The weather will improve for Thursday and heading into the weekend, just in time for the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club. It will be hot and humid for the major. Temperatures will be in the 80s and low 90s throughout the tournament, with only isolated showers and storm chances.
