During an interview with 60 Minutes that aired on May 11, Curtis recalled hearing that the cinematographer refused to shoot scenes on day because of the way Curtis looked.
"I was 25, so for him to say that, it was very embarrassing," Curtis said on 60 Minutes. "So as soon as the movie finished, I ended up having some plastic surgery."
"I've become a really public advocate to say to women your gorgeous and your perfect the way you are. So yeah, it was not a good thing for me to do," Curtis said.
"I did plastic surgery," Curtis said on Today in 2022. "I put Botox in my head. Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine. Walk a mile in my shoes. I have done it. It did not work. And all I see is people now focusing their life on that."
