Floyd Mayweather has insisted he is far from bankrupt and is securing generational wealth.

The boxing legend accumulated a huge fortune from his boxing career earning a reported $1.2 billion during his time in the ring.

Mayweather has hit back at Smith’s claim he is bankrupt

He has always lived a luxury lifestyle with extravagant properties, cars and even a private jet under his ownership.

Mayweather recently invested in a $402 million property portfolio in New York, to which many doubted it’s legitimacy.

Jake Paul is one of many to question Mayweather’s financial worth in the past.

And US analyst Stephen A Smith released a video doing the exact same, insisting he was exposing his ‘bankruptcy’.

But the American has now issued his response to those claims, insisting it is people simply trying to tear him down.

He said: “Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.

“But if that’s what you call having two private jets, owning 100 buildings, and being able to do what you want, then I’m pretty sure everybody is going bankrupt.

“I’m not a liar. I work hard to build my name and build my reputation. I’m not going to let anyone go out there and smear my name and talk bad about me and my family.

“I kept thinking about life after boxing and generational wealth. When I started with real estate, I skipped over eight figures and I went to nine figures.

“I wanted my payouts to be bigger so I could travel with my family and friends.

“I don’t want to call this a real estate dynasty; it’s just building generation wealth.”

Mayweather is making sure to silence critics, who have voiced their statements.

Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn questioned Mayweather’s wealth earlier this year, but was left gobsmacked when the American showed him his bank balance.

And despite claims, his spending is showing no sign of halting after his career.

Mayweather has been able to sustain his income, even fighting in a series of exhibition contests.

He has boasted of earnings of eight figures for each including for his most famous outing against Logan Paul.

The former champion even claimed he earns a mammoth $300 million a month, a simply huge figure.

For now, Mayweather has yet to pencil in a new outing.

But of course further outings could be tempting given the prospect of more lucrative paydays.
