The 2024/25 FA Cup final is coming up this weekend and Manchester City are set to take on Crystal Palace for glory at Wembley.
There will be a new name on football’s oldest cup trophy this season after reigning champions Manchester United lost in the fifth round.
The FA Cup final is coming up this weekendGettyErik ten Hag guided the Red Devils to glory with a 2-1 win over Manchester City last May, but Ruben Amorim was unable to retain the trophy during his first campaign as Red Devils boss.
It leaves Pep Guardiola and his side still with a chance of winning some silverware this season, despite some major struggles.
Man City beat Nottingham Forest to set up a clash with Crystal Palace after they knocked out Aston Villa in their final-four clash.
Palace have not won a single trophy since 1994, so this will be a monumental day for the club in the capital.
The cup winners will once again be rewarded with a spot in the Europa League should they finish outside the top six of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola: “Being in another final speaks so highly about the volume of generation of players and this club. And we are very pleased we are in the final.
“But the season is defined by the Premier League and being consistent and this season that couldn’t happen.
“The most important thing is qualification for the Champions League and we have to be calm now and recover. We have four finals to play, and then an unbelievable game against Palace, and we saw how good they are.
“This season has not been good. We are a thousand million points behind Liverpool, so come on, this season has not been good.
“Look at the Champions League. How many games did we win? One or two? And we have always been a machine in that.
“Of course, the damage would be minor (if City win the FA Cup) but we cannot confuse that the season has been good if we finish in the top five and qualify for the Champions League. The club has to take the decisions, the right ones, for next season to be better.”
Eberechi Eze and Crystal Palace are one game away from FA Cup gloryGettyOliver Glasner: “The players can party tonight and they will, and they fully deserve it.
“It’s better (I didn’t dance in the dressing room). And with all the happiness and pride, it was not the last step. It was one more step, but an important step. When you play the final, you want to win it.
“I’m really proud. I’m enjoying walking in front of the stands seeing how happy people are. In the dressing room, it’s a great mood. I think if I started dancing, I (would have) destroyed this moment.
“We can play the final, so most teams who play the final can win the trophy. So it’s nothing new, I think, that I tell you.”
