Bangladesh will play two T20Is against the UAE in Sharjah on May 17 and 19. The Bangladesh squad will travel to Dubai later this week for the T20I series. However, their five-match T20I series against Pakistan, which was originally set for May 25 to June 3, is under dark clouds.

The BCB has delayed its decision on that tour due to the recent India-Pakistan conflict, which led to the temporary suspension of both the IPL 2025 and PSL. Actually, discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are ongoing regarding the scheduled tour of Pakistan.

BCB prioritizes player safety, keeps Pakistan tour on hold

The statement further reads, “The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is in active and ongoing discussions with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the Bangladesh National Team's forthcoming tour of Pakistan. The BCB wishes to reiterate that the safety and security of its players and support staff remain the board's highest priority.

Bangladesh players are set to arrive in Pakistan on May 21

Two Bangladesh players, Rishad Hossain and Nahid Rana, who were part of PSL 2025 before it was called off indefinitely, returned home on Friday, May 9. Rishad, who played for Lahore Qalandars, and Rana, who was with Peshawar Zalmi, landed in Dhaka in the evening and are now preparing to travel to the UAE with the rest of the national squad on Wednesday.

Even if the PSL 2025 resumes, both players are unlikely to rejoin their franchises due to Bangladesh’s packed international schedule. However, PCB has not yet made any call regarding the 2025 PSL’s return.
