However, the decision isn't entirely in BCCI's hands as the government nod is needed for the resumption of IPL 2025, and the board will consult the government and all stakeholders before making a final call.
On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed to a full ceasefire on the evening after four days of intense cross-border military action. As that happened, several BCCI officials spoke on the resumption of the marquee Indian Premier League (IPL).
"The BCCI suspended the IPL yesterday for a period of seven days, and today, we are on the second day with five more days left. The BCCI is closely monitoring the evolving situation and developments, and will take a call on IPL resumption after consulting all stakeholders of IPL and the concerned Government authorities," BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia told Cricbuzz.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla also dropped an official statement on the matter.
"The war has stopped. In the new situation BCCI office bearers, officials and IPL governing council, will discuss the matter tomorrow (Sunday) and take a call. We will see which can be the best schedule to complete the tournament."
One thing to be noted here is that Pakistan violated the ceasefire agreement just after hours after it was declared that the tensions were over and it will be interesting to see how would it impact the situation around the IPL 2025.
