May is Mental Health Awareness Month, with May 3-10 being designated as Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, an important time to consider how isolating mental health problems can feel and specific issues that negatively impact the mental health of K-12 students.
Listen to the full conversation between 97.9 The Hill’s Aaron Keck, Melanie Laskey, and Alanna Coyle as they talk about why it’s important to understand youth mental health, coping strategies that can help, and resources that parents can use to learn more.
Bridging the Gap, presented by Orange Partnership, showcases a new conversation on the first Friday of each month airing on 97.9 The Hill, with the full series posted on Chapelboro. Meet local partners working together to close the communication gap between parents and their children and help all young people in our community live healthy and productive lives through awareness, compassion, consideration and positive action!
