A GOOD pair of sandals, that won’t rub and will last for years, can cost you anywhere between £60 and £120, depending on brand.
Aldi is one of many stores launching its own version of a two-strap comfy sandal.

Priced at only £9.99, they are far cheaper than others on the market.
But colours and styles are limited.
The budget supermarket only offers pink or silver for women, or black for men.
Women’s sizes range from 4-8, and mens are 7-11.
The upper straps are made from chrome-free tanned leather, and the sandal features a pre-moulded footbed with padded insole for ultimate comfort.
There’s also a selection of sandals for kids too.
The kids versions are in sizes 10-3 and in navy or lilac for £4.99.
If you’re looking for other summer holiday essentials, on the same day, Aldi has a range of cool clothing for both men and women.
If you’re into co-ords, there’s a Crinkle Top/Trouser collection.
Available in three different prints; black, black and white and black and pink, they are made from 99% polyester and 1% elastane.
Sizes range from 8-10, 12-14, 16-18, 20-22 and 24-26. The trousers are £7.99, whilst the short-sleeved matching tops are £4.99.
To complete the outfit, the retailer is also selling a Shoulder Bag for £9.99.
The adjustable crossbody bag features a front magnetic pocket, main compartment with zipper, and shoppers can choose from black, cream, green or pink.
There are a couple of Mens Chino Shorts also available in sizes 34, 36, 38 or 40 and beige or navy for £7.99.

Staycation is a big theme this year as the average holiday abroad for a family of four is estimated to be around £3,628. This includes expenses for flights, accommodation, food, drinks, and entertainment, according to a calculation from NimbleFins.
Therefore, many families are opting to explore the UK instead – and Aldi has a range of items to get you on your way.
From colouring books, dolls, fidget boxes, surprise books, booster seats, bike racks, boot covers, to mini splash pools, play balls, sand pits and carry cases.
There’s also plenty to keep young kids entertained in the garden this summer – rockers, tractors, slides, and bubble machines.
Why you should always buy a dupe over designer...
Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend says it’s time fashion snobs stopped looking down their noses at affordable versions of designer buys.
Bargain US supermarket Walmart became a social media sensation when its £60 dupe of Hermès’ Birkin bag, dubbed the Wirkin, went viral.
Influencer @styledbykristi gushed: “Eighty dollars (£60), you can pretend that you got a Birkin. I mean, everyone will probably know it’s not, because who the hell has the money to spend on the real Birkin? Not me.”
Me neither. And why bother? I would never spend that on a designer bag (although if someone wants to buy one for me, that’s a different story).
Plus, if I splashed that much, I’d feel I was being ripped off…
We’ve all been told how the leading brands use the finest leather, thread, dyes and craftsmanship in the world.
But all that is inflated by fashion houses to create the desired illusion of exclusivity.
Just last year, Dior came under investigation for paying £44 to assemble a bag that sells for £2,000.
So while you might think you are paying for top-level craftsmanship carried out by a true artisan, chances are the poorly paid workers are not seeing any of your hard-earned cash.
Dupes — not to be mistaken for knock-offs that copy everything from the logo to the inside label — are a more practical and all-round sensible way to go.
I bought my first when I was 18. It lasted me four years and only broke after I wore it in the shower.
And these days, British high streets have plenty of dupes. In the past three years, Marks & Spencer, H&M and Mango have all seen huge spikes in sales thanks to their canny copies. They use the same viral, must-have marketing tactics that pricey brands have.
Fashion folk will tell you that you are making an investment and buying a “heritage piece” and will turn their noses up at a high street equivalent. But we’ve been wearing looks inspired by catwalk designers for decades.
If we can buy a bag that’s the spitting image of the pricier version, but doesn’t mean you have to remortgage, why not?
