(KRON) — Laura Owens, the daughter of popular Bay Area radio host Ronn Owens of "The Ronn Owens Program," was indicted by a grand jury in Maricopa County, Ariz. on May 1 for multiple felony charges related to an alleged paternity scheme involving “Bachelor” star Clayton Echard.

The request stemmed from “several inconsistent statements” made by Laura Owens during a paternity hearing involving Owens Echard, Mitchell said in a statement Tuesday.
“Owens originally filed a lawsuit seeking child support from Echard, then dropped her claim, alleging she’d had a miscarriage,” Mitchell’s statement reads. “MCAO investigators found that between May 2023 and June 2024, Owens altered an ultrasound image, fabricated a pregnancy video, and lied multiple times under oath.”
A grand jury has indicted Owens on the following charges:
