In the May 6 episode of The Valley After Show, alongside Lala Kent, Cartwright said Taylor, the father of her 4-year-old son, Cruz, would continuously send her text messages while he was staying in a rehabilitation center during the production of The Valley Season 2. During The Valley Season 2, Episode 4, Cartwright showed that Taylor texted her that she "took [his] son" and his job away from him. In addition, he wrote, "I will never forgive you... you destroyed the only thing I love doing."
"It was mainly because of Cruz that I didn't block him in the beginning. Because I thought if I was still sending him pictures of Cruz and stuff, it would help him," said Cartwright.
"Instead of allowing myself to get better and to fix myself and concentrate on why I was suppose to be there, I allowed myself to fixate on what was going on in the outside world. It drove my rage even more," said Taylor.
"I'm like, 'Do you not remember why you're in there in the first place? Like do you not remember what just happened the day you went? How horrible you yelled at me?'" said Cartwright.
"If you're in therapy seven hours a day and you're still finding time to call me names and cuss me out, and send me rage texts, then you are obviously not ever going to change. Like this is bad. I can't stay in this," said Cartwright during the podcast interview.
