If you’re looking for Hollywood star Ben Affleck to don a Yankees cap, don’t hold your breath.
The Good Will Hunting star and the city of Boston are as synonymous together as peanut butter and jelly.

That is why you will never see him rock a Yankees lid in any of his films.
Just ask David Fincher, director of Affleck’s hit movie, Gone Girl.
Production of that film 11 years ago was stopped for four days due to a disagreement between Affleck and Fincher on getting the actor to wear the Yankees hat.
Eventually the two compromised on a New York Mets hat.
Appearing on the Kelce brothers’ podcast, New Heights, Affleck shared with both Jason and Travis that wearing a Yankees hat isn’t ever going to happen.
“You famously refused to wear a Yankees hat in the movie Gone Girl,” Jason said.
“Is this still something that you refuse to do on screen?”
“Yeah, I would not be interested in doing that,” Affleck answered.
“I don’t have to do that. F*** that.

“He’s not as tuned into baseball, right? He’s obsessed with football and Madden. The dude is the greatest Madden player [David Fincher] that I’ve ever seen, which is f****** weird to me.
“But I was like, okay, I guess he’s great at everything. I was like, it’s gonna be a distraction that you don’t want.
“A stupid side story about wearing a Yankees hat, trust me. I think he was kind of f****** with me.”
“That’s f***** hilarious,” Travis responded.
The Kansas City Chiefs star then put Affleck on the spot, and asked him if he would rather wear a Chiefs hat or Philadelphia Eagles hat if he had to.
Affleck chose the Eagles.
The Dunkin’ Donuts aficionado is very serious when it comes to his Boston sports teams.
Even when he is on set, it clearly shows that Affleck will never be too big for his Boston roots.
And his hate for the Yankees will never be compromised.
