Devin Haney left a lot to be desired in his return to the ring.
‘The Dream’ beat Jose Ramirez via unanimous decision, but in doing so, he and his adversary set the record for the lowest output 12-round fight of the year so far.

Haney outlanded Ramirez by 30 punches by 70 to 40 overall, while neither boxer found a home for more than 8 shots in a single round.
He may have won, but it was hardly the statement performance Haney would have wanted from his first fight back since his controversial encounter with Ryan Garcia last April.
Haney appeared hesitant to let his hands go throughout as he pot-shoted from range while Ramirez followed him around the ring aimlessly.
His gun-shy approach prompted Hall of Fame commentator Jim Lampley to insist that he was still feeling the effects of his dust-up with Garcia.
“A whole year has gone by, and I think this is a hangover from the Ryan Garcia fight,” said Lampley.
“He is flinching, he is still having nightmares about Garcia’s left hooks.”
As the action laboured on, Lampley was no kinder with his words.
“If ever there was a fight capable of inducing a nap in Times Square, it would be this one,” he added.
The verdict was just as harsh on social media, with esteemed boxing journalist Dan Rafael branding it the ‘worst fight he has seen in a while’.

Conor Benn was also unimpressed.
“The judges won’t have a scorecard because they’re all asleep,” he tweeted.
Boxing fans were in agreement over the lack of action.
One supporter wrote: “Haney-Ramirez was a painful watch.”
Another added: “Devin Haney really put the city that never sleeps to sleep.”
A third tweeted: “Devin Haney should sue himself for this fight.”
Meanwhile, somebody else remarked: “This is easily the worst fight of the year so far.”
