University 5, Platte Valley 0, in Greeley: University maintained complete control throughout this clash between two of the better teams in the Patriot League. The Bulldogs out-hit Platte Valley 6-0 and had no errors, compared to three for the Broncos. University junior Gage Viken pitched all seven no-hit innings, strikeout out seven and walking one. He faced just one more batter than the minimum. Junior Joel Ramirez led the Bulldogs offensively, hitting 1 for 3 with two RBI, a run and a double. Senior Medardo Abrego hit 2 for 3 with a RBI and a run. University extended its win streak to eight games and improved to 16-3 overall, 7-1 in Class 4A/3A/2A Patriot League play. Platte Valley fell to 12-8, 5-4.

Severance 18, Northridge 1, 5 inn., in Greeley: Severance completely dominated this league affair for its fifth consecutive victory. The Silver Knights jumped out to a 13-0 lead in the first inning and ultimately out-hit Northridge 12-6. Severance committed just one error, compared to eight for the Grizzlies. The Silver Knights improved to 14-6 overall, 10-3 in 4A/3A Longs Peak play. Northridge fell to 1-17, 0-12.

Windsor 4, Poudre 2, in Windsor: Windsor secured a hard-fought conference win to sweep a two-game series with Poudre. The Wizards had three errors, compared to one for Poudre, but they made up for that by out-hitting the Impalas 9-4. Senior Teegan Cole led the way, hitting 1 for 3 with three RBI and a run. Senior Ethan Fillinger hit 2 for 4 with a RBI. Junior Wyatt Gustafson pitched six innings for Windsor, allowing two unearned runs on three hits, striking out 10 and walking one. The Wizards improved to 15-5 overall, 7-3 in 5A/4A Northern Conference play.

Dayspring Christian wins two, in Denver: Dayspring Christian extended its win streak to five games with a pair of league wins against Bishop Machebeuf, 13-3 and 13-1. Each game lasted five innings. In Game 1, the Eagles led just 2-1 before scoring 11 runs in the top of the fifth. Four Dayspring players had two hits and two RBI apiece. Senior Logan Vaniddekinge and sophomore Owen Steward each had two hits, two RBI and two doubles. Steward pitched all five innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits, striking out nine and walking two. In Game 2, Dayspring expanded on its early 2-0 lead with 10 runs in the top of the third. Sophomore Simon Sholders and senior Gage Davis had three RBI apiece. Senior Josiah Rodriguez pitched all five innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits, striking out eight and walking four. The Eagles improved to 15-3 overall, 7-1 in 2A Mile High League play.

Loveland 6, Greeley West 0, in Loveland: Greeley West couldn’t get its offense going, as it suffered its fifth consecutive loss and fell to 5-16 overall, 0-12 in 5A/4A Northern Conference play. Loveland out-hit the Spartans 8-3. Freshman Nic Hernandez, sophomore Camdon Duplex and senior Owen Wildt each had a hit for West.

Fossil Ridge 11, Roosevelt 2, in Fort Collins: Roosevelt was unable to build on to a three-match win streak, falling to 12-4 overall. Fossil Ridge jumped all over the Rough Riders from the get-go, leading 3-1 after one inning and 6-1 after two. The SaberCats out-hit Roosevelt 11-6 and had no errors, compared to four for the Rough Riders. Sophomore Jeremiah Bradberry had a strong outing for Roosevelt, hitting 3 for 3 with a solo home run.

Windsor 2, Riverdale Ridge 0, in Thornton: Windsor continued its hot streak into the postseason, closing its regular season with a seventh consecutive victory. The Wizards scored a goal in each half. Sophomore Ella Crotts and junior Braely Martinez each scored for Windsor. The Wizards improved to 12-3 overall.

Frontier Academy 3, Sterling 0, in Sterling: Frontier Academy closed its regular season with a 13th consecutive win to improve to 13-2 overall, 7-0 in 3A/2A Patriot League play.

Roosevelt 3, Wellington 1, in Wellington: Roosevelt closed its regular season with a quality win, improving to 3-10-1 overall, 2-6 in 4A/3A Longs Peak League play. The Rough Riders led 2-0 at halftime to assume control.

Windsor Charter 4, Fort Morgan 3, in Windsor: Windsor Charter wrapped up its regular season with this hard-fought victory, improving to 7-3-3 overall, 3-3-1 in 3A/2A Patriot League play. Sophomore Gwendolyn Dow and senior Dillan Brown had two goals apiece for the Firebirds.

Union Colony 3, Belleview Christian 2, in Westminster: Union Colony earned its first win of the season in its season finale, improving to 1-11-1 overall, 1-8 in 2A Mile High League play. The match was tied at 1 at halftime before the Timberwolves outscored Belleview Christian 2-1 in the second half. Junior Rubi Ocegueda had two goals, and sophomore Aracelee Herbst had one goal, for Union Colony.

Severance 0, Berthoud 0, in Severance: Severance ended its regular season with a scoreless deadlock, as neither team was able to ramp up its offense. The Silver Knights moved their record to 6-5-4 overall, 2-3-3 in 4A/3A Longs Peak play.

Timnath 7, Greeley Central 0, in Timnath: Greeley Central struggled in all facets of its season finale, falling to 3-9-3 overall, 1-5-2 in 4A/3A Longs Peak League play. Timnath scored three goals in the first half and four more in the second. Wildcats senior goalkeeper Esmeralda Corral capped a strong season with 19 saves.

Mountain View 3, Northridge 1, in Greeley: Northridge trailed just 2-1 at halftime but could never close the gap. The Grizzlies fell to 5-7-3 overall, 3-3-2 in 4A/3A Longs Peak play.

Liberty Common 2, Weld Central 1, in Fort Collins: Weld Central wrapped up its season with a heartbreaking victory, falling to 4-10-1 overall, 2-4-1 in 3A/2A Patriot League play. All three goals came in the first half.
