(KRON) -- Golden State Warriors star forward Jimmy Butler is expected to play in Monday night's Game 4 against the Houston Rockets, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The NBA insider, citing sources, reports Butler is likely to return after missing Game 3 and most of Game 2 due to a left pelvic contusion.
The injury happened after Butler took a hard fall in the first quarter of Game 2 in Houston -- a game the Warriors lost.
Charania says that Butler is "doing everything possible to try to play tonight." Butler was a full participant in Monday's shootaround.

Golden State is coming off a 104-93 home victory in Game 3 over the Rockets on Saturday night at Chase Center. The Warriors currently have a 2-1 series lead.
Since acquiring Butler in February's trade deadline, the Warriors have gone 25-9 with him in the lineup. Butler helped the Warriors in their Game 1 victory by logging a team-high 42 minutes and scoring 25 points in support of Stephen Curry's 31.
