ALASKAN Bush People star Noah Brown has claimed his mom, Ami, and his sister Rain are abusing meth in a desperate welfare check request to authorities.
Rain, 22, was arrested and charged with burglary, malicious mischief and criminal trespassing on Friday, April 11.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that just days before their arrest, her brother Noah called police to conduct a welfare check on his mom Amora “Ami” Brown and his sister Rain, whose real name is Merry Christmas Raindrop.
The welfare check conducted on April 7, 2025 was included in court papers for the burglary investigation, as the crime was reported on March 27, 2025, weeks before they were ultimately arrested on April 11.
The court papers read, “Noah Brown reported the following: Mother is ‘couch surfing’ with her daughter Brown, Merry (Rain) and daughter’s aggressive boyfriend Lorton, Josiah at a cabin in Liar’s Cove.”
‘[Noah] has tried contacting his mother after receiving a ‘disjointed message’ last night and heard she has been drinking a lot and she is now taking meth that was given by Merry and Josiah.”
Noah continued to claim his mother is “off her meds” and that her condition is “deteriorating.”
Ami was hospitalized in February for chest pain.
The court papers continued, “Merry is not allowing her to take her medications. Lorton also has guns and is not supposed to have them.”
On April 8, the officer contacted Noah, as the documents read, “I advised Noah that I attempted to contact his mother (Amora Brown.) I also explained to Noah that I had discovered that Amora might be with his sister Merry, aka ‘Rain’ Brown, and Josiah Lorton.
“Noah suggested that Merry struggles to keep up with taking her medication and thinks that anybody who tries to force her to take it is the devil. Noah continued to explain that Josiah is known to always be armed.
“Additionally, Noah explained that Merry had also taken a pistol from him. Noah didn’t want to list it as stolen but wanted me to be cautious when attempting to contact her.
“Before concluding with Noah, Noah advised me that his mother and Merry refer to Josiah Lorton as the next ‘Messiah,’ which extremely worried Noah.”
The officer then spoke to a man who met Josiah and Merry on a job site.
He offered to let the couple stay at his home because they appeared to be living out of her car.
“I asked him if he had noticed anything that Josiah and Merry might have had with them. He advised that Josiah and Merry had a large ‘diaper bag’ full of pills,” the report read.
Rain and Josiah remained behind bars until their court date on April 14.
The case remains ongoing.
Rain spoke out on Instagram after she was released from jail.
She captioned a bible verse, “It hurts my heart that my rainbows would choose to believe the lies…
“Instead of maybe thinking ‘oh no who is saying this about Rain?’ Not ‘wow what a waste’ it deeply hurts my heart. With all this said I hope y’all will stick around to hear my side of the story. God bless y’all.”

This isn’t the first time Rain has been accused of abusing meth.
Noah and his now-estranged wife Rhain filed a restraining order against Rain on August 5, 2024, claiming she committed “unlawful harassment.”
In Noah’s Declaration in Support of Motion for Ex Parte Restraining Order, he accused Rain of “using cocaine and meth and consuming alcohol.”
The court filing claimed, “On or about December 6th, 2023, my mother went to visit Respondent and my mother was offered cocaine for her migraine/headache she was experiencing.”
On or about July 19, 2022, Noah explained of an incident that occurred during filming for the Discovery series, “We were in the elevator and [Rain] said something along the lines of ‘my life would be so much easier if you were dead, if only I wouldn’t get caught, I think that my gun is in my room.’”
Noah alleged of another incident, “On or about May 3, 2023, I was helping the family move horses up to NorthStar ranch, one of the horses was malnourished, and because Raindrop and Snowbird wouldn’t listen to me on how to properly transport the animals, one of the horses fell in the trailer and couldn’t get back up on her own.
“When I was telling them what we needed to do to help the horse stand, [Rain] said, ‘Just stop!! We don’t need your help. I would rather the horse die than listen to you! I will kill it myself!! Now go wait in your truck or I will get my gun right now!’
“I waited at my truck the rest of the time, I found out the next day that the horse died.”
In a second Declaration, Noah explained his family has been a “victim” of “unlawful harassment” since his Rhain was introduced to the family on August 15, 2016.
REQUEST DENIED
A temporary order was denied without a court hearing because of “no basis.”
The explanation by the court read, “The petition lacks sufficient information and is unsupported by a properly [submitted] declaration.
“Petition is essentially blank with references to ‘see declaration of Noah Brown.’
“Further, allegations pertain to incidents that are too remote in time to warrant issuance of a TRO without notice to the respondent.
“There must be sufficient information to support the petition for a TRO to issue or for a hearing to be set.”
According to online records, Noah and Rhain have not re-filed the request.
The U.S. Sun was unable to contact Rain regarding the restraining order request.
RAIN’S SIDE
Days after the Petition for Order of Protection request was filed with the court, Rain wrote on Instagram, “How come in a world so harsh it is praised more to be fake [than] it is to be real? Why do I have to pretend I don’t know what the F word is? Or pretend that I am a ‘perfect’ woman?
“Many of you have watched me grow up from a very young child into the strong capable woman I am today, who quite frankly doesn’t give a flying F#€!< about what anyone thinks of me.
“If that sentence offended you and you asked yourself ‘What happened to her?!’ Keep asking that question, maybe one day I’ll write a book.
“But as you go to type your mean comment about what I have to say remember this: What would you do if when you were yourself the world told you ‘you’re not acting like yourself!’ Who would you listen to? Yourself? Or the opinions of others? Have a blessed day everyone… God and Jesus bless and keep you in his everlasting light.”
Rain also revealed she married her boyfriend Josiah.

SHOW CANCELED
The U.S. Sun previously reported Alaskan Bush People was canceled after 14 seasons.
The show aired on Discovery from 2014 to 2022.
The cancellation came after patriarch Billy’s business partner, Robert Maughon, filed a breach of contract lawsuit against the late star’s estate and business, Alaskan Wilderness Family Productions, in April 2021, just two months after he died in February 2021.
Billy’s wife, Amora “Ami” Brown, is the executor of the estate and a defendant in the case.
Testimony from Ami, taken in April 2024, revealed the show’s current state.
The documents read, “Testimony acknowledging that the show ‘Alaskan Bush People’ ultimately had 14 seasons, with the last season being filmed in 2022.”
Throughout the lawsuit, Alaskan Bush People is referred to in the past tense, as another example reads, “These breaches occurred despite the significant profits generated by [Alaskan Wilderness Family Productions], particularly through the television series ‘Alaskan Bush People’ which was featured on the Discovery Channel network.”
On the Discovery Channel’s media page, Alaskan Bush People is not listed as one of the company’s “properties,” as shows from Naked and Afraid to Gold Rush are included.
The network hasn’t posted an update on the series since September 2022.
A rep for Discovery and Ami did not respond to The U.S. Sun’s request for comment.
The lawsuit remains ongoing and Ami has denied the contract claims in an effort to protect her late husband’s estate.
FAMILY BREAKDOWN
The family has fallen apart after Billy’s death in 2021.
In addition to the restraining order, Noah and Rhain, who share two sons together, announced their separation in January 2025.
Then earlier this month, Bear and Raiven, who share three sons, announced their split after being on and off for years.
