SHEDEUR Sanders might need to thank President Donald Trump for getting him drafted.
At least, that’s what the White House thinks after his NFL Draft slide.

When Sanders first slipped out of the first round, Trump ranted about NFL owners passing him over on Truth Social.
“What is wrong with NFL owners, are they STUPID?” he wrote.
“Deion Sanders was a great college football player, and was even greater in the NFL. He’s also a very good coach, streetwise and smart!
“Therefore, Shedeur, his quarterback son, has PHENOMENAL GENES, and is all set for Greatness. He should be ‘picked’ IMMEDIATELY by a team that wants to WIN.
“Good luck Shedeur, and say hello to your wonderful father!”
Sanders was eventually drafted drafted to the Cleveland Browns, and it appears that the White House wants some credit for it.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was asked about Sanders finally getting drafted and implied that Trump’s statement might have made the difference.
“All I will say is the president put out a statement and a few rounds later, he was drafted,” Leavitt said.
“So I think the facts speak for themselves on that one.”
While Sanders did get drafted “a few rounds later,” it was a lot farther down the board than anyone could have expected.
The first round consists of 32 picks and Sanders was picked at No. 144 in the fifth round.
That is 112 picks after the first round ended.
NFL fans got a good laugh out of Leavitt’s statements at the press conference, and shared some requests for Trump for their own teams.
“Can Trump fix the Jets next please?” one fan said.
