Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson took on the role of former wrestler and MMA fighter Mark Kerr in The Smashing Machine and completely transformed himself — to the point that he's nearly unrecognizable in the promo.

"Finally, a movie about true grit and heart. The Rock was born for this role," one person wrote.
"If ya smell what the rock is cooking? I smell Oscars 2026," a third comment read.
Johnson had an open mind when taking on the role and expressed a desire to make movies that "matter."
The trailer for The Smashing Machine will be released on April 29.
