(KRON) – Walnut Creek police have arrested a Livermore resident accused of committing a bank robbery, according to authorities.
Walnut Creek Police Department dispatch was alerted to a bank robbery that had just transpired at Chase Bank on Main Street around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Responding officers were informed that a male suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money. The suspect, later identified as 54-year-old Ronald Lane, received money from the teller and then fled in a vehicle. According to WCPD, Lane did not have a weapon during the robbery.
Napa man arrested on child pornography chargesOfficers found the getaway car traveling on Olympic Boulevard at 1:07 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop. According to police, the stolen cash was found in his car, and Lane was arrested and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility
