The mercury is expected to hit 11°C after 8am as runners set off in the capital, before peaking at 22°C in the afternoon, the Met Office said.
She added the weather will be “warmest in London, with highs of 22°C expected here”.
A mini heatwave is expected to hit the UK on Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 27°C likely in parts of southern England, such as Berkshire and London.
The Met Office defines a heatwave as when a location records at least three consecutive days with daily maximum temperatures meet or exceed the heatwave temperature threshold.

“That said, it will be a warm spell, with increasingly high temperatures each day across England and Wales and plenty of sunshine expected.

Highs of between 25°C and 27°C are expected next week in Greater London, Wiltshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire in England, as well as Monmouthshire in Wales.
Met Office deputy chief meteorologist David Oliver said: “Often warm spells are driven by warmer air arriving from further south, but the origins of next week’s air are from Scandinavia and central Europe.
The warmest April temperature on record was seen in London on 16 April, 1949 when the mercury soared to 29.4°C.
