(KRON) -- A 7-Eleven employee who was robbed during an Oakland crime spree on Thursday was hit once again Friday morning. The clerk, who was shaken up by the first incident, had agreed to come back to work at the business for at least one more day when he was robbed again.
The 7-Eleven at 3500 Grand Avenue was robbed overnight Friday, just after midnight. The incident comes less than 24 hours after the same location was rammed with a vehicle and ransacked around 5 a.m. on Thursday.
The same clerk was working at the 7-Eleven during both robberies. The clerk reportedly had told his boss he was quitting following Thursday’s robbery, but was convinced to come back for one more day to help out.
According to the employee, five or six suspects broke through the 7-Eleven’s door early Friday to enter the store. The suspects demanded the clerk open the register before grabbing the cash and fleeing, the employee said.

On Thursday morning, a string of robberies and burglaries hit six different Oakland businesses, according to police. Investigators tracked down the vehicles used in the crimes, OPD said, which led to the arrests of three men and one woman.
“At the scene of the arrests, officers recovered property believed to have been stolen from the crime spree,” OPD said Thursday.
It is not known if the incident at the 7-Eleven on Friday is connected to Thursday’s crime spree.
